Bmw X5 Wheel Spacer Install

Just installed my front and back 15mm wheel spacers.

So far - I been really enjoying the looking and turns.

First two is before - the remaining three is after.

Looks good and definitely more aggressive looking. I might need to run some rear spacers when I put the 20s back on for the winter. I'm concerned with running the spacers up front in winter since the roads get messy and enough crap gets splashed up on the side of the car as is.

Curious, why the same size? I know the fronts are a PITA to deal with the rotor lip and need to either be really small or 15mm. Does it look right having them the same size? I've always done a smaller space in front on cars.

Doesn't need to be the same - RG sports sells 15 front and 20 rear.

I just went with Burger because they had responded quicker and only does 15mm front and rear.

I have zero patience when I want something which is a bad thing.
But looking after it is install - 15mm rear is max that I would have like to go.

I like the look especially when I look from behind of the SAV.

What makes you say that about the rears?? They still look slightly tucked in there though much, much better than stock.

The rotors? Or your calipers?

Rotors. Finally painted them myself and installed the spacers. 5mm front and 20mm rear. I do have a BMW Jack Pad Adapter on the 2x4 piece of wood that fits perfectly into the jack slot.

Spacers on 22's

If I decide to upgrade 22 velos or vorsteiner wheels, would I still need spacers? I guess the question m is if spacers are used in 22's or is it an overkill?

The wheel diameter wouldnt dictate if you need spacers. It's the width of the wheel, wheel offset, and tire size that would determine if spacers would be suitable.

If you know the wheels specs and tire sizes, I can calculate whether you'll need a spacer or not.

What size extended lug bolts do you need for the 15mm rears?? I think I might do like a 10 or 12 in the rear only

Ditto Tomcat above...you just add the width of your spacers to the shank's length of your existing wheel bolts. BMW wheel bolts are usually between 26mm-28mm...so again, when installing spacers...you need to extend the length by the amount of the spacer's width.

Shank length can be seen in image below:

Can you share some more pics of this setup? I would like to add spacers with these stock 19s so I want to make sure the look works. Did you also purchase new lug bolts?
