Fault Codes Help
Just got back home from a road trip to Florida, while in Florida I noticed the check engine light on the dash popped up during a drive, and never returned. I have a 2014 X5 35d and 102,500 miles. Back at home now I scanned with ISTA+ and received the following 3 fault codes:
2BB300 Diesel particulate sensor measuring electrode: Faulty. Looks like there is an extended warranty on this from SIB 010418 (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...60282-9999.pdf) 24BF00 Injector, cylinder 2, zero-quantity adaptation: Activation duration correction too high. Looks like my cylinder 2 fuel injector is starting to fail. I see there is SIB 010919 for extended warranty (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...84567-9999.pdf), but it doesn't appear to include MY 2014 (Mine is 05/2014 production date). I will try to see if dealer will include as it states "The Model information above is for informational purposes only, it is not the only deciding factor" 805268 Recirculating pump unit, activation: Not plausible. The fault description is: The calculated fuel tank capacity does not match the actual fuel tank capacity. Action in service: 1. Activate the transfer pump with the diagnosis system. 2. Check line and plug connections 3. If lines and transfer pump are OK, delete fault memory. 4. Replace transfer pump. My VIN was not included in the HPFP recall. My question is is this fuel transfer pump the same as the HPFP that has the current recall? Edit: I ran the test plan for the 805268 and it appears that is referring to the SCR transfer pump from the passive tank to the active tank. I only see the extended warranty for the SCR Active tank. Anyone know if there is an extended warranty for this pump? Thanks. Last edited by happydude; 07-03-2022 at 08:12 PM.. |

Bump. I feel 100% like this guy, but I have a 2015 (12/2014 build) and just turned over 106k miles.
2BB300 - just got this fixed when I was having the second EGR recall done a month ago. They replaced the sensor and the code went away. Now about 1500 miles later, I just got both of the same codes as this guy. I find it hard to believe that both codes appear at the same time...the Cylinder 2 injector can't be coincidentally related to the active/passive DEF transfer pump, but yet the errors occurred within ~600 miles. I reset both, got the implausible pump failure ~60 miles later, and the injector note ~200 miles after again. Worth noting...my battery is original, and I know that can lead to random failures. As above, if the SCR transfer pump is the failure, anybody know if that warranty was extended? |
