2014 X5 F15 Air flow changes every few seconds
Just recently I noticed F15 AC air flow will change from the front vents to other places for few seconds then back. Doesn’t matter if it’s on AUTO or manual set to forward, fan speed will change.
I can hear the sound of air flow to maybe windshield or elsewhere for like 2 seconds then back to normal. I have tried all the settings even with everything manual at full speed towards the front vents, it will still do this every 45 seconds or so. Ideas? I would like to give my tech some additional info to narrow down the cause. Thank you, I’ll post a video with sound if this is uncommon.

Mine does something similar at times, but it is definitely not as consistent or often as yours. Do you notice it being tied at all to throttle input? When it happens to me, it's usually under extended light throttle acceleration, which in an older car, I would attribute to some sort of vacuum loss. I have no idea what it is in the X5. I need to take the time and go through ISTA and see exactly how the blend doors operate.

Not related to throttle. I could be sitting in the parking lot or cruise down the highway… it happens at least once a minute for 2 seconds or so.
