Is this a good lease deal on the X5M?

Guys! I started to do some homework and i'm considering jumping into a base model 2016 X5M with Multi-Security deposit (8K). Is the below #'s a good deal? $1216.00 a month for 36month.

Should be lower. You can get a fully loaded one for basically $1400/$1500~ before taxes and without MSD.

Try truecar.com, you will get an idea what to ask for. Good luck!

I tried truecar.com over the weekend and drove to the dealer with a truecar.com discount of 8% off over MSRP. And i got a received some new deal #'s but they didn't wanted to give it to me in writing bc they were worry that i would drive to another dealer....

$1100.00 with 5K to drive off
or
$1000.00 with 9K to drive off

I don't know but seem better than the first deal and i don't have to put my money to MSD.

What do you guys think? Can it get better? I told the dealer to let me sleep on it.

Putting MSD is better than putting money down for a lease. Its never a good idea to put a lot of money down on a lease because if you wreck the vehicle down the block from the dealer the insurance won't refund you back your down payment. Its like paying rent for 3 years in advance and the building goes up in flames 3 months in.

I think that's a very good deal. I am surprised they gave you this much off of the MSRP unless this was a demo car or the last 2015 car they had in the lot. Congrats!

So i finally put pen to paper.... My deal is below: I will take delivery of the 2016 X5M sometime in Dec 2015. I'm no LEASE expert and and i think it was the best deal after getting 10 different quote from different dealers.

$1047.00 a month + First Payment and TAX
36month
10k a year
Total MSRP as Built $104,395

What do you mean 1047 a month PLUS 1st pay and tax? I don't understand. Do you mean it is including tax? How much is your total drive off?

9K to drive off!! The 9k is to pay tax+dmv fees and some cap-cost.

So its 1047 + tax (probably 9%) so $1141.23 including tax? Or your 1047 is already including the tax in it?

Your math confuses me a little bit... Yeah i think in NYC tax is like 9%. Where did you get the extra $100.00 or so and what do you want to prove ($3600 after 36 months)? I'm just asking kindly and i want to be on the same page as you. $1047 a month is paying tax UPFRONT.. 9K to drive off the lot....

Nevermind.. As long as you are happy that's all that matters. Congrats, 1047 sounds like a great deal

Don't the lease payment usually includes tax and you pay it every month?

And you paid the whole 3 year tax upfront? which is included in the 9k?

I believe it's still the same as when I grew up there, and the whole sales tax amount has to be paid upfront with leases in NY State. There are several states like that in the country.

Yeah! I was given the option to add it to the lease or pay it upfront. I will decided on the day of the delivery to put it to the lease or not. Just like the low $1047 a month low payment.
