No boost diagnosis w/cat CEL

I recently replaced a leaking fuel injector (F15 X5 35) and since then the car ran fine for about a week or two until the other day... where it stopped boosting (drive-train malfunction error) and CEL.

The two codes that show up are for low catalyst efficiency and charge pressure too low.

I was hoping someone could help work through the issue. I replaced the diverter valve based on some other information and a recommendation from an INDY however this was not the issue.

Can the CEL from the cat force the charge pressure too low code and no boost?
Is it possible for the cat code to be a result of a bad 02 sensor or is this not generally the case?

My concern is the leaking injector ruined the cat however after doing the diverter valve I'm not ready to jump back in a take things apart again just yet.

charge pipe secure? a loose one can cause issues.

I'd recommend a smoke test. I was chasing a vacuum/boost leak for a while and that helps a ton.

Thanks for replying.

Yes, charge pipe is secure. I checked what I thought was the obvious as i'm somewhat familiar with the vehicle. A smoke test was done by the INDY which is one of the reasons why we went in for the diverter valve. No obvious signs of vaccuum/boost leaks.

Additionally, the wastegate test went okay and there are no issues there as reported by the INDY.

Fair point man. Funny enough my TurboSmart aftermarket DV was one of the culprits for my leak too.

Good luck dude.

I went with OE but I was so disappointed when I pulled the old DV out and it looked spot on. I put the new one in anyways...
