2022 X5 Questions

Hello all! First post on this forum. Have a couple questions for some X5 owners. We just ordered an X5 xDrive 40i and hope to get it in 6-8 weeks. I know I should have asked these questions before but I may as well get ready for whatever is to come. So, some questions:

-Thinking about added the M Sport Brakes. Do these wear any different that the base brakes? If so, last longer, less, or same? And how do you keep the painted calipers clean? Is that a pain in the rear?

-Any very common issues with the latest models I need to look for?

-Service. The purchase comes with maintenance through the dealership for 36k miles but we live 100 miles from the dealership. In a pinch, can the regular maintenance be performed at local quick lubes?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to any tips/information anyone has to give.
Matt

Ok obviously ignorant. My apologies and can you explain F15 vs G05?
Thank you!

It's the chassis code to differentiate different models/generations.

To put it simply;

F15/F16 = 2014-2018 X5/X6
G05 = 2019 - present

I'd definitely get the M Sport brakes, especially on the 40i which has smaller rotors to begin with. The M Sport brakes look way better and are pretty inexpensive to add ($650).

But yah, you'll get more input on the G05 forum at the link above.
