Coding additional features in HU_NBT and FSC keys

I have a relatively lightly optioned X5, and added 6NS (Extended Bluetooth) this evening through VO Coding. Looks to be working great. Thanks Opasha for the go-bys (nomination for forum poster of the year)!

I missed a few other options (or see some offered in other markets) and was wondering if they could easily be added - I don't want to screw anything up.

BMW Online and BMW Apps - 6NK
I understand this could be coded, but would require an FSC code. From reading, FSC enabling codes are VIN specific and cost money. Can someone confirm, or can it be VO coded like 6NS?

Sirius XM - 655
I have SiriusXM pre-wire, but to enable 655 I would also need an FSC code. Could someone confirm and PM me a contact.

Can I VO Code any of the following without a FSC key and what functionality do they add (not in my FA list):
6AM Real Time Traffic Information
6AP Remote Services (Not sure how useful)
6AR Internet??
7S9 Connected Drive Services??

Thanks!

FSC Codes are distributed by BMW AG.

Also, you can read up on BMW Apps etc here: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=746767.

If your car has 693 Satellite Radio Prep, you can get a 6F FSC Code issued by BMW AG for you VIN, Import and Activate it in Head Unit, change 693 to 655 Satellite Tuner in FA, and code car, and you will have Sat Radio.

All the other items, 6AK (not 6NK), 6AM, 6AP, and 6AR do not require FSC Codes, but they are services though BMW Portal, and require a Whitelisted VIN, and in some cases a paid subscription to access. These cannot simply be coded as the VIN needs to be provisioned for these services on the server by BMW AG.

I do not know what 7S9 is. 6AK is Connected Drive services.

Does anybody mind sharing screen shots of their VO codes to compare?

In particular I did not buy BMW ConnectedDrive Services Professional and looking to add BMW apps (which I guess likely wont work without BMW subscription).

BMW ConnectedDrive Services Professional
- BMW Online
- BMW Apps
- Enhanced BMW Roadside Assistance
- Concierge Services
- Remote Services
- Advanced Real Time Traffic Information

Is there any way to make it work using your phone 3G connection instead of BMW 3G data?

No. Whether you use car SIM card or your mobile phone SIM card, all services are still accessed through BMW server via car's Head Unit, so it is still a VIN authorization issue.

Thanks for clarifying! Looks like a no go then.

Still great having added 6NS!

I'll likely look to add satellite radio in the future via FSC Code.

Yes, Sat Radio is an easy and inexpensive addition you can make, so it is well worth it in my opinion.

You still need a paid subscription, right?

Yes, this is true. It is a subscription service.
