Entered production today!

As has been mentioned by others, the website, and the automated phone system both lag behind and don't even acknowledge my existence. I had to call and talk to a human to find out, it went into production today, and is scheduled to be completed August 20th.
Ordered July 29th.

My wife's X5 status on phone today said it was in transport. When do you think it will arrive at the dealership in Dallas? It started production Aug 4th and finished Aug 9th

Got a call tonight. Car is at dealership. Picking up in am. Production ended August 9th. That is a fast delivery!

Just picked it up. Mineral white is absolutely stunning on the m-sport. Following my wife home and seeing it drive really made me glad we ordered it. The mocha design, fine line oak and B&O really make the interior amazing. It's nicer than my full Merino leather M5. Pics to come next week. Headed to San Antonio for a weekend get away. Gonna drive the new x5 there and break her in!

My production just completed today (18th) and going through quality check or something. Any thoughts on when I can expect in IL? I am thinking the end of this week is possible but who knows.

Depends on the carrier. I know of my relatives whose car waited to be picked up for about a week. They live in MO.

If you are lucky, it will be this week. If not, early next week. Either way its party time.

Mine completed last Friday 8/12. I spoke with the representative at BMW 800 number and he said it was released to the carrier on 8/15. He said at this point only the dealer knows when it should be here in IL ! maybe we will be on the same truck... It is only an 11 hour drive from SC

I know, bonkers isn't it.

As we pay so much more you would expect them to ship to Europe as the margin has to be that much better for them.

Hi sorry to ask but what info do you need to track your order with BMW?, and what do you then do, I am getting mixed messages from the stealer, not for the first time

I tried to track it using the order number with no success online, there is a phone number you can call to get updates but I never tried that as it is a 1-800 number in the States and I am in the UK.

I got updates from the stealer until production and then checked the VIN on bmwarchiv.de, once it appears there it is built.

Then the fun begins, @CatFlap may be more help as he made all the phone calls as our X5's shared a boat on the way over. There is no specific tracking available but by talking to agents and looking at schedules you can determine which K-Line boat it is on and track it all the way over the Atlantic and on it's grand tour of Europe (Zeebrugge, Bremerhaven) before landing at Southampton. Once landed at Southampton your dealer should have it within a week, according to the SLA's in place with the road shippers.
