Question on Wheels

Hi

Interested in the BMW 451 Style wheels. Not thrilled about the staggered setup

Could I put the front rim on all four corners and use a spacer to fill out the wheel well? In other words run the 10 inch width 275 /40 all around. There are very few choices for the rear tires (315/35 20) in a non run flat

Thanks,

Look forward to your thoughts and comments l

+1 no reason you can't do that. Just make sure you are getting XL load rated tires.

Just out of curiosity, why not run the staggered setup as intended?

He said there were very few non-RFT choices for the rear.

That's a Fair question....1. limited choices on tires and 2. I would really like to be able to rotate tires on a regular basis....

I just ordered wheels in 22x10.5 +35 all around wrapped with 295/30/22 Pirelli Scorpions - going to run a 20MM spacer in the rear

tire rotation is overrated. By the time rears are ready to change, your fronts aren't too far behind. You might squeeze out an extra 6 months by rotating.

Limited choices is valid rationale, but you simply have more choices in 19s to begin with than 20s. Heck you have even more choices in OEM 18s.

IMO, go with staggered 20s. It just looks fucking boss. When I see square setup on X5s, I just shake my head...b/c with 20's:

^^ agree on the "boss" appearance...definitely one of the things I like best about the setup. Definitely sets our SAV aside from others.

exactly. That's the price of variety. I can count on 1 hand how many SUVs comes with OEM staggered setups, and Porsche isn't one of them.
