I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they caught on to him not having a vendor account. He has sold a lot of parts including a ton of wheel/tire combos.

Minimal markup versus dealer markup. Wouldn't be hard for a guy in the parts department to mark something up 10% and make some money versus the large dealer markup.

Most of his stuff was scratch and dent. Wheels with little chips, nicks, etc. I bet this set was purchased, they found an issue with the center console piece and wrote off the whole thing, he got his hands on it and sells it now incomplete.

I bought a set of wheels and tires from him and there were no issues at all with my set. I committed to the wheels and paid for them while on family vacation and they were shipped to my tire shop the next week. easy peasy!

Yes he was. I was just trying to provide a theory on how he was able to get the deals he was having. A dealership writes off an item and somebody sells it on a forum at discount. I wasn't saying he was scheming or anything.
