Man, I thought I had the perfect door guard for a second ...
This is, in all honesty, a great product!
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have dinged some car doors in the past, so I know I am prone to it. The X5 is much higher and larger than I am used to, so this product made perfect sense. The problem occurred once I went to close the door. The added thickness from the rubber creates a "door jam". The soft close mechanism didn't like it either, almost like it was stressed. Then I went to open the door there was a definite "bite" and louder sound created by the tense door lock. Does anyone have a better solution that will not ruin the soft close mechanism? Thanks!!! . |

Ok on a black car but would look hideous on a contrasting colour car such as white. Or they available in a selection of colours?

My care had them on when I bought it. No issues with soft close. Don't know what brand it is though.

Maybe give this a shot? Seems to be much thinner. Though, probably not as heavy duty as the MATCC product you have.
