Uncomfortable m sport seats
Love the m sport pack on my 40d but have never been comfy in these seats, have tried everything, i think its the shoulder wings pushing my shoulders too far forward, anyone else find this?

Between my dad and I, we've had five X5s and they have all had the Comfort Sears. My wife's 6-series has it also. Big difference over the other types.

Hated the sport seats when test driving the X5. Comfort seats are a huge improvement. Unless you get vented seats. Then it takes a step back. Still better than sport but not as comfortable as non vented seats.

Seats stink compared to other luxury vehicles. Only nice Comforts seat were on the X5M I rode in and the thigh support rolled out as opposed to leaving a gap in the seat when you extended it. seats are actually on the smaller side for someone 6' or taller. Ashame BMW doesn't recognize the complaint (heck - they do the same with the RFT's....).
I went to upholsterer as I felt it was that the seats don't allow you to go level (butt always in a hole) and with the X5 as you raise the seat, it actually pushes you forward. It's the same way in them all. Bad hydraulic lift design IMO. Net is that the MB seat is much nicer and standard vs nickle and dimming you. 2019 is the year for me to compare to the new MB and X5 then make a decision. |

IMHO Comfort seats > Sport seats > Standard seats in order of comfort, with the exception that ventilated seat option dials padding down a notch Most issues with uncomfortable seating position for f15 owners come from either not enough padding (like in ventilated seats) or bad back/lumbar support. Which makes Comfort seats best so far as they have everything |

I'm at 18K miles on my '16 with sport seats. I find them to be comfortable as well.

My Window Sticker says Premium Package ($2,700) and then Multi Comfort Seats ($1,300).
The seats in my '17 35d are supremely comfortable, supportive, firm in a good way and just so ergonomic! |
