Rear Climate Control Fan (Mind of it's own)

I noticed the weirdest thing occurring while driving today. The rear climate control fan is set to off, but every 20 seconds or so there is a short burst of air the is blown out of the rear vents that is very noticeable while driving...

Has anyone experienced this? I will be going out in the next hour or so and will see if this is still happening.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it occurred. I've been driving since the post and it hasn't happened again.

happened to me too. no idea wtf was going on. i turned it on and off after and it stopped

I had to let the car go to sleep before it would quit

I think it has something to do with the starting up of the climate control. If you don’t let it start up and you start pressing buttons. It gets screwed up

happened to me last week too, I have no clue what's wrong with it. tried turn off the fan and everything, doesn't work. End up i have to park aside and turn off the vehicle for few minutes then it doesn't occur after

My x5 just started doing this - came here to look for an answer I'm curious if any of you know whether or not this is some kind of broken part or if I should just wait for it to go away on its own?!?

Seen a couple threads on this. Similar thing happened to me. This was the work order for mine.
