A/C Compressor questions
Hello everyone. A/C system was full and in spec for the amount of R134a; however, the clutch is no longer engaging, but I also knew this A/C compressor would fail someday because it made that classic rattle noise when the A/C was on. So, I've bought a Denso A/C compressor and was wondering if anyone else here has purchased the Denso compressor and, if so, did it come with oil in it?
I've been told it does come with oil in it, but I imagine I would have to drain that oil to use this: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/a-c...behr-351214021 If so, how much oil is required for this compressor? I also plan on replacing the expansion valve and the sensor too, along with the gaskets because, well, why not, already there. Thanks in advance. |

Yes, you are correct, its just common habit to call it a clutch, but it was making a lot of noise. I have ISTA, just need to install it, so let me find a laptop to buy

I was able to get the exact values of the required oil content; however, has anyone just emptied the compressor of the PAG oil and used this instead:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/a-c...behr-351214021 FCP says you can mix it with PAG, but I'd rather not and just have a single type of oil in the compressor. |
