Have the 19" PIRELLIs on mine and run F36/R44 with an absolute smooth ride, where possible. Can't do anything about the lousy roads.

+1 - The ride is quite good, I was expecting a harsh ride as I have never owned a car with run flat tires. All the press on them is negative.

This is what I use and it hasn't let me down once: http://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-5941-Di...tal+tire+gauge. It reads out .5-1psi higher consistently on all tires and all my cars. I have one in my mother's ML350 and one in mine. Super easy to use and very light/nice.

Niko, I bookmarked your link just in case since I don't have a spare and plan on keeping that for emergencies as well in the storage area next to my air pump.

Opasha, does this unit have a bleeder button to remove air if the tire is over inflated?

Thanks. Calling opasha

Your link was not working but glancing at the address line I presumed you were linking to http://www.amazon.com/TEKTON-5941-Di...ton+tire+gauge

Yes, thanks Matt.

Here is one that is similar to the Tekton, but can bleed air.

I hate to disagree with everyone, but you are much better off using an old fashion mechanical gauge. You may not use it until you have a low pressure warning and find the batteries are NG. Newer is not always better i.e digital vs. analog

Here is what I bought

I also am sorry with the irresponsibility they showed on your service. Unfortunately, careless service departments exist and some people just don't care as much as they should for their customers.
Sorry to rehash an old thread. What would you recommend for PSI on the 18" OEM run flats? Also, after getting a rear tire replaced, I noticed that the PSI difference between left and right (on both front and rear) are off by about 1 PSI according to the TPMS. How accurate is that sensor? Should I care the left/right differ by about 1 PSI, or is that an 'acceptable' difference between them?

Thanks.

Tire tread depth is measured in 32nds. So the average tires tread depth is 11/32 - 10/32. So if you get a flat in the first 2/32 of tire wear, it is covered under warranty. 4/32 your tires are close to worthless on snow and water.

Use a quality tire pressure gauge to measure - TPMS is not ver accurate

Thanks, I'll pick up one of the ones referenced in this slide. Any idea as to suggested PSI for the 18" RFTs?

Also you will notice when your tires heat up or get cold the pressure changes as it should.
