Thank you

I wanted to drop a quick note here saying thank you to opasha for his time, advice and expertise in coding my car. He spent a lot of time doing the work and offering assistance. Love the results....

Thank you, sir.

Thanks for writing that because many of us here should have done it already, myself included.

If it wasn't for opasha 's videos, I would never try to code my BMW.
Such a great guy for going through all that trouble and make those videos and following up on the thread he kept up to date.

I've not had the testicular fortitude to attempt coding of my X5 yet - chiefly because my mastery of electronic gadgetry is limited to the calculator - but I've long admired opasha for his passion and willingness to help others - not just in his area of expertise (which, I'm sure ALL of us would agree, are wide, boundless and quite omnipotent/god-like ) but just in every aspect of our collective rides.

From offering his time and knowledge in coding, to offering help in linking pictures or recommending products - opasha, you are one example of what's right with the internet, and what makes these forums great.

Well done, my friend!

And kudos to 42pilot too - of the many who have been helped, I'm sure all of them were grateful, but you were the first to put it on record, and thus allowing the rest of us to voice our appreciation.

Now I'm all mushy and fluffy inside, and I need go find some Kleenex...

This is a really great community that I'm very happy and thankful to be a part of . Thank you everyone for the kind words. As SpdAddictRY said, there are countless others aside from me that help everyone and make this a great forum. I've seen this first hand especially when it comes to new members looking for advice on whether to even take the plunge into buying an F15 or F16. BMW should be thanking all of you .

Wobbles, all you need is an ENET cable (Ben provides one from his online shop and so does Antonio from the ebay link - only $20), and you can leave the rest to me. I'll send you a PM of all the software you need to download (that's the only technical thing needed - the ability to click a button). I can guide you through Teamviewer on what/how to download what you need from the links I send as well. Just reply to my PM and we'll go from there. I think I speak for everyone when I say this - Once you learn something, it gets much easier when someone shows you first hand and you slowly become better/more comfortable at it with repetition. Practice makes perfect .

+1, still need to get that cable, on the fence about MFD, that is my main incentive for coding. Have a euro version of the car, so some things that people from US are coding are already there.

Well said, and wonderful thread. Opasha is a goodwill ambassador, owners of F15 are fortunate to have him on this forum, hope he doesn't sell his soon, as he stated he is in for the long term. In Toronto people are looking for coders, some charge. As most know, Opasha does free coding, photoshop pics, timely diplomatic answers cover wide range of F15 topics, tires, competitor comparisons, suspension choices, detailing etc, etc. From what I read his mailbox is not empty. In theory he should have as many appreciates as his posts. Most who seek advice are also nice in responding with outcomes and pics of their new beloved F15.

I recall Opash learned from scratch not so long ago, and recall his issues with his chip which finally fully kicked in. So the benefits of ownership and determination prevail.

Hopefully soon he gets his car back.

+1 @ Barcelona. Opasha is a great resource to have on this forum and I am sure you echo the feelings of most if not all F15 forum members about his support and full commitment to all things F15. Thanks Yoda (I meant Opasha, LOL), we do appreciate your prompt response and help. Can't wait to see your re-born F15 after all the mods are completed.

I too would like to add my thanks to Opasha for coding my car! Everything is working seamlessly, and I'm enjoying the car even more than before. Couldn't have done it without him since I am definitely computer illiterate.
