Steering wheel only descends 1.25 inches
a lot of steering wheel threads, didnt see this discussed so didndt want it to get lost. with my column extended as far as possible to my chest.. the entire travel height from high to lowest (i dont mean "in and out".. i mean from my chin to my lap) it can only adjust a measly 1.25 inches!
this can't be normal can it? oh there is the illusion and sound that it moves more.. but i just measured it with a tape measure. please measure yours. |

Mine drops about 1.5-1.75" but do keep in mind this is going to have some error built in.

The best way to do this is to have the wheel all the way up. set the tape measure tip to the top of the wheel.. then hold the tape steady and lower the wheel and then see where the top of the wheel stops. mine moved from 0.0 to 1.25 inches. i'm sorry if you guys think this is petty/crazy.. but it just blows my mind that this wheel barely moves two inches. if you are someone who likes the seat all the way to the low position the wheel doesnt nearly come down far enough. |

Umm ok...don't really understand the purpose of your comment but the OP said his was fully extended and regardless of if mine was or not I still deflected more than his sooooooo. I'm sorry what was your point again?

okay.. 1.25 vs 1.75.. so mine is broke.. but 1.75 is still awful... i keep my seat in lowest height (i like the gangster lean :-).. and i feel like my hand are up near my shoulders holding the steering wheel.. IN THE LOWEST SETTING.

Simply to point out that the OP’s problem may not have been related to up-down limitations but rather it could be broken in the in-out telescoping, i.e. if it didn’t move out completely it would appear to have limited vertical adjustment.
