Plan B :(
Well, after my X5 50i order was delayed again.... I decided to go with "Plan B". I've been missing my X6, and could get an absolute killer deal on a new one (well under invoice) as it's being replaced at the end of the year.
Going with a short lease on an X6, and will (hopefully) go for a new F16 X6 later in the year! All that indecision over my X5 spec and ended up canceling it anyway. Who knew! Thanks for all the supportive company while I waited |

I briefly considered an X6M, but the depreciation hit would be too upsetting with the F16 imminent Obviously the friends that occasionally ride in the back of my car will have to go back to cutting off their heads to fit in the X6, and I'm stuck with hideous roof bars for my ski box.... The 2013 onward X6s with the M Performance pack get a bump to 440hp on the V8, which is more than enough for the speed limits around here! I'll keep looking with jealousy at the awesome new interiors and shiny new electronic toys of the F15s being delivered tho! |

Damn you!! I thought I was going to have a twin (with the exception of yours being 50 and poplar wood). Would've been nice.
Congrats on the new X6 anyway. Just cuz you have a X6, don't be a stranger. Z. |

I had a E70 X5 and hated how it drove traded for X6 and loved it. So much sportier can only imagine would be same deal even in new body X5 vs X6...Much sportier drive in X6...I almost pulled trigger on new body X5 but I really want new body X6 so decided to wait

I'd guess very high worldwide demand coupled with a few supply chain issues. Keep in mind, the first deliveries were in late October. The vehicle has only been available for less than three months. I think it should be much easier to get an X5 by mid Spring.

I just traded in my X6. It is a really good ride, def better to drive then F15 with dynamic package (X6 is a lower car and I believe torque vectoring is more complex). Drove my X6 on the track along with some X5s, X3, 5, 7 series at BMW event and it was the X6 that inspired the most confidence, not easy to make that car drift/slide as it is so stable. Of course X6 has some disadvatages over the X5. There are many X6 haters out there (most of them who never actually drove it before they bash out against it). COngrats on your new ride!

Not a bad plan B IMO
If you dont need 3-rd row, X6 is plenty |
