Nice! What's a good discount to negotiate for? Say 10% MSRP for '17, and 12-15% off for a 16 on the lot with all your options?

My builds range from 106-109 bc I'm struggling to figure out if I need to get Full Leather or not. I know it's gorgeous, and I know it add another level of "luxury" to the vehicle. For me, it was the ambiance LED lights in combo with the CF @ night that got me hooked onto the full leather.

You need full leather. Why skimp on a car like this?

10% off MSRP would be an insane deal on a '17 since their margin is only 6%.

Full leather now for me is a must specially in a car like this. I was hesitant at first, but it such a nice upgrade!! Completely worth it!! Go for it!!

Agreed. I negotiated just under 8% discount yesterday on a '17. True car confirms that invoice is about 6% below msrp. I'm happy.

You guys are getting great deals. I called a number of dealers in NY and NJ about a lease and best I get is MSRP less current promotions. I keep telling them they need to be more aggressive and there is no interest.

email those folks at kuni bmw about theirs, get them to send you a written offer, then send it to your local dealer and tell him you'd rather give them your business

i think the trick is in the timing , if you order just before there quarter is up you can have much more power to negotiate , dealers want to meet targets and exceed , so usually this time is best . ie just before christmas , just before end of june etc

Do you have access to any of the car buying services? USAA? Costco? Even try Truecar to get a few dealers bidding on your deal.

The USAA program took $1K off above the agreed price. Then add in whatever programs BMW has going (loyalty cash, etc). I was probably right at invoice before the other incentives, trade, etc. I also got the winter wheel package at dealer cost.

If you want to try to work out of state and don't mind shipping a car (if they will do it), call Murray BMW in Denver. Ask for Jake (sold me the F85) or Rod (sold me the E70d) - tell them 'Josh who just bought the X5M' sent you. They made it really easy for me.

I spoke with a number of dealers in NY/NJ in the last few weeks about ordering a new car in December. An interesting pattern has emerged. While most NY dealers don't seem to be interested in offering a decent deal, many of the NJ dealers are a lot more aggressive on pricing and are also willing to admit that the best deals to be had will be in December as they are focusing on meeting year-end targets. If you can find a car in stock you can get a great deal, even on an M car.
