Question: can you guys get you in dash controls working? Is it still pressing the BC button for a couple seconds to activate ? It does nothing for me.

Interestingly, I own a cyber security firm and I am not comfortable with the total lack of security in the Bluetooth kit.
I don't want someone pushing bad settings on my vehicle under any circumstance. I would, however, appreciate it if the vendor just allowed the app to function wired to the phone. USB to lightning and USB to micro-USB adapters are cheap... and secure.

The jb4 app would be useful to someone that cares about what they are doing. Anyone with a Bluetooth enabled computer can "dabble" (we call it fuzzing) to figure out what this interface does and cause you a lot of grief in the process. We don't even know if the JB4 limits the input values based on its firmware or if it's limited in the interface. I'm not going for 100% security, it's just I know enough about this technology to be much more aware of the risks and vulnerabilities involved.

My JB4+BCM is being installed as I type into my wife's X5M. I have a few questions: 1 Did you have any issues specific to installing it that would be good for me to know? 2. Did you ever get the in-car control working (via the BC button I mean)? Thanks. |

Any of you run pump 91 here with bcm?? And remember to check your charges pipes, i think almost all jb4 users have those upgraded cuz they plastic and crack real easy. Didn't find any aftermarket ones for f85/86 yet Last edited by Yiming; 10-28-2016 at 02:44 AM.. |

All I have to say is I just installed JB4 with BCM & Bluetooth, Active Autowerke catless downpipes, BMC filters and its BAD ASS!!! A lot faster, wish it came from the factory this fast. Sounds great too with stock muffler, sounds like a mix of an F80 and F10 M5 exhaust note. Had some issues on MAP2 93octane breaking up in higher rpms so I'm just running MAP1 - 20lbs for now and its great, I am going to get it to the dyno soon with race gas for Map 7 - Also I installed it myself, hardest part is getting to EPDW connectors under bank 1 intercooler for the BCM. I have never installed one in an F85 and took me a little over an hour.
