I almost bought that car before I got my X6M. I was really set on getting the car with 21" so I passed on it.

fatmatt0116 What did you end up paying for the vehicle? Were you able to get below 105K?

Nice! 2017 is definitely worth it with the new iDrive.

I'd rather take my deal, a custom order '17 with MSRP over 113k for $105k. At this point unless it was a really killer deal (which this isn't) I wouldn't go with a '16 when you can get huge discounts on '17s and get the iDrive and other updates. It doesn't even take long to get the car once you order it.

Yea I was glad to go with the custom ordered '17 allotment over the '16 @ Kuni. The first deal @ Kuni was 103.5 for the '16 and was great leverage for the deal on the '17. Always better to have the newer car, particularly if it's just a few thousand extra.

BTW, how long did it take for your cars to be delivered once you ordered them?

Depends on what you ordered (i.e., did you get any Individual colors etc.) and your allocation slot. When car goes into production, it's usually a couple of weeks after that. Do you have a production week with your order?

Average has been around a month from placing the order to pick up. That assumes a two week wait to get the order into production and then another 7-10 days to get the car to you. Two months for an Individual interior/exterior.

It took about a month for me. I ordered my '17 right before they had actually started to make the '17s.

They said mine is already on the assembly line. Nothing custom, just bsm overy full black merino with cf trim, b&o, and all the packages except night vision and rear entertainment.

there was so much confusion when i ordered my 17 x5m. the dealer wasnt aware of the cut off time for 16 to 17 , july i belive is when the carolina plant was closed ,on the 20/09/16 the car was ready , in carolina . then begins the long ship to uk . im told should be here 17th , fingers crossed. but generally not a waiting sort of person , considering i ordered the car mid june , taking into consideration the july shut down period , september finish mid/end october delivery , its feels like years lol

all this because i refused to go with a 16 ex demo , and that idrive 5

Is there any way to check the production status? My dealer rep said he won't know the status of the car until it's finished.

To get the production status call (1-800) 831-1117 and put in your production order number or VIN. Once it says production has been completed you can talk to a real person and get an actual update on how shipping is going.
