Gotta love this:
"The feature is not available on BMW M5 and ActiveHybrid5 models, as well as the M and Hybrid equivalents of the X5 and X6 models."

I get that every other car manufacturer out there has remote start but I thought the rationale behind BMW not having it was because it's bad for the engine to idle to warm up. That you start it, wait for the RPMs to drop and drive.

would certainly make the cold winter mornings more tolerable , but not for M models ;-(

remote start is one of the main features i would want , however i like the remote drive? feature on the 7 , where you can drive the car through the remote . thats proper class
