Engine light again

Sigh, well...I guess I spoke too soon when I gave my X5 35d M Sport glowing reviews, in spite of the many trips to Service over the last year. With just over 37k on the odo, it's been in the shop 9 times (outside of routine maintenance). Engine light came on two days ago, and i'll be taking it in to the dealer this afternoon. Driveability is a little off as well, with power feeling way down on occasion, with surges and odd shift patterns on the transmission. I'll keep you posted on the outcome. I guess thats why we have warranty.

I feel your pain, i've been there.

I'd be interested in finding out what's causing your "power feeling way down" as my wife recently asked me if the car was in Eco Pro when she drove it because it was not as responsive as she is used to.

Good luck

Well, just heard back from my CA...the boost actuator in one of the turbos has failed. And surprise, surprise, the turbo is on backorder. My X5 will be sitting for a minimum of two weeks. One of my tail lamps was leaking too, so they are replacing that...and voila, also on back order from Germany!!! My frustration level is climbing. How many of these X5's, diesel or otherwise, now exist in the market?!?! It baffles me how little parts stocking they have for these, as I've had to wait for nearly every replacement component. The dealer didnt even have an engine air filter in stock.

That sucks. Had that myself a couple of months ago, very frustrating how long it takes for parts to get here.

You had the boost actuator fail as well? Or something different?
