Thanks so much, I’ve enjoyed it very much so far. Makes driving my F10 M5 seem like a Toyota Camry. Although the same engine, it drives very differently and I have to say I love the shift points on the F85 much better in non manual mode.

After having the X5M for almost 3 months now, I am still in love with it. I find myself driving the X5 way more than my F10 M5. For perspective, I've put 5k miles on the X5M and only 1k on the M5 since I got the F85.
This has me thinking - with the new M5 hitting lots soon, I truly love the transmission feel of the F85 way over my F10. The shifting is way more reactive; when you press the brake on the F85, it downshifts perfectly, just as you would if you were shifting it yourself. I don't think I would do another M5, but with the lease rates being so good on the M3 right now, I am thinking another murdered out M3 may be a fun/good alternative as a trade for my M5. Since I own the M5, I am assuming the depreciation will be much quicker now that the 2018 model is out. If you could get a second M, what would your choice be? M4, M3, M5? Wait for the Z4? |

M4 ZCP cabrio is paired with my X5M- M4 has a flash tune/ catless dp's/ BMC airfliters. I'd rather track BMW's cars anyway thus the vert.

Cars are my only hobby. 1999 Hawk I bought new and totally stripped it down to the bare frame inside and out. Installed a forged engine, TT system, built transmission, built rear assembly, all new suspension components, all new braking components , hand built all new hosing, etc. Haltech ECM.Tuned it. Many many hours. Never will be sold:
Traded the 2016 50i to the 2016 X5M. Bought a new 2017 ZO6, but the 2016 X5M experience made the ZO6 fall to the wayside. X5M is Rambo...so I sold the Z06 after driving it to the Corvette plant and taking the tour. Nice ride...but not Rambo. Everything I own is boosted. F90 will be the little brother to the X5M until the F95 is released in 2020. Terrible addiction,,,,,but F U N |

Haha yes. But one car at a time! What exactly about the X5M made you choose it over Z06? Completely different animals I would expect with 2 different goals in mind. No?

I’m not knocking BMW, but with two M(s) I feel like the overall experience would be too similar with the major difference being that one of them sits much lower and handles better. The interior finishes, controls, and iDrive will all be pretty much the same. Whereas the Porsche would provide a completely different experience versus the X5M. Good question. Hard to answer. I rotate “little X5M “ brothers. The X5M is my daily. The Zo6 was a weekender. Found myself driving the M on weekends. Just a better “all around “ Hammer. I’ll be curious how the F90 compares. I’m biased and “know” the X5M will be the overall favorite. I just hope the F90 is close.

Great pics! That's a bad boy. Very similar to my build except I went with the black interior, almost went with red but I had it in a previous car and my jeans continuously rubbed off. You see many X5's but very few M's. I am still to see one in Indy.
