I considered getting an X5 50i or X5M but I know I'm going to regret it and want the new one the moment they come out later this year. Going to be more power, better chassis, lighter and a decent leap in the interiors and tech. I am not sure how many people are like me though and need the latest tech
I understand your point but in my case I lease them and write off under business so getting an X5 50i at 10% off plus an additional $4,500 in incentives/rebates made the deal a no brain er for me. I was able to have a lease that is a lot less than people pay on a basic X5 3.5i.

Grab a June or July production slot and will be right on schedule for you.

Thinking something on the lot with the right options might be more discounted than an order.. isn't there a cut off date like April for 2018?

I couldn't think of anything my current X5 has that I'm blatantly missing. What tech are you missing?

Only new Tech that they could add off the top of my head would be the following:

Gesture Control
Display Key
Remote Parking via Display Key

That is the only new and updated technology that I can think of that is in the 5 and 7 series.

I will not miss or need any of them.

If you are leasing, would that matter?

For me it would because I'd be stuck in a previous gen car for 3 years. So if I took delivery now of current model I'll be sitting on that car for at least 2.5 years of overlap with the new model. I am confident the new X5's are going to be better in every way and I would kick myself for simply not having the patience to wait half a year for them to come out.

Don't get me wrong if the above is of no concern to somebody it's a good time to buy the current gen X5 while they are in their last 6 months or so of fire sales. We had two X5's. Our '15 just went back off lease and my '12 X5M I'm just waiting for the new X5 to trade it in.

I am actually considering the new M5 to replace my X5M instead of another X5. With AWD I could toss snow tires on in the winter and drive it year round. I had a 2013 (F10) M5 that I just sold and used the X5M as my winter and rain driver. What would you guys do? Trade in for an M5 or wait for the new X5 or X5M?

I buy my cars, so I'm going to hold on to my 2015 for a while and extend the warranty. If I had your choices, I'd forego the F15 and either wait for the new one, or get the current X5M or get the new M5.

I am back here to post my story; I got a killer deal in December - 13% off MSRP of $66K that I did not bite on. Just ended up getting cold feet.

Well, the itch is back and now I have negotiated a 10% off MSRP deal on a well optioned X5d - $72K MSRP.

Going to go pick it up tomorrow. At end of the day, I am paying $9K more than I would have paid in December (some of it is attributable to a better deal and the rest to a more expensive car).

It is a surprise gift for my wife!

Does anyone have a recommended dealer for the best price on an X5M/X5? I'm located in the Midwest, but out of state is perfectly fine. Thank you in advance!

I was thinking about buying an X5 soon but it seems like I should just wait 6-7 months until the new model comes out. It is a major overhaul of the body relative to the 2018, correct? What is the best guess for when it will be available for purchase?

First post here.

I'm looking to pick up a 2018 35i soon for my wife. Her 2015 Escalade has been in and out of service for the last few months and I'm totally over it. Our dealer found one X5 that fits what she wants (Space Grey, M-Sport, 3rd Row). She wants to add all of the carbon fiber exterior options, so I would like to negotiate that into the deal somehow.

I know the new body style is right around the corner but she isn't too concerned.

What kind of deal should I be anticipating?

Look for at least 8% off MSRP before rebates or incentives. I was able to get 10% off MSRP on a xDrive50i that had to be ordered before rebates and incentives.

I got $10,900 off of MSRP and then they added around $4800 on taxes, title and reg. fees w/ 1 % interest rate on a brand new x35 sdrive w/ M pack. I'd say I got hellova deal.
