Here's a crappy video with my iphone. Both exhaust were just installed so have not been broken in yet.

In person the Eisenmann is much louder compared to the Dinan

Alan, Thanks for the thorough write-up. I'm picking up my '17 F85 in a couple of weeks. Had already decided on a Dinan Stage 1 tune, but now I'm going to do the exhaust as well. Your feedback was very helpful in my decision. (And your Eisenmann sounds great, but the Dinan is a good fit for my needs/tastes!)

Yes. The valves are still connected to the car but we zip tied them away behind the diffuser because i didn't want the ECU to throw a code if we just left the valves unplugged.

I drove mine for a week with the valves unplugged and open. FWIW no problems with codes if you want to leave the valve off.

I am getting dinan stage 1 tuning this week, but undecided on exhaust though leaning Dinan because of price.
Dinan exhaust sounds good on the videos I have seen.
Eisenmann and Akrapovič Exhaust sound great too but seem to be more expensive.

I am not an expert on exhausts and of course each company will tell you theirs is better for various reasons.

Also if there are any better options?

I am leaning Dinan because it is the best price, but feedback appreciated to help me understand differences in sound, performance to justify higher costs.

Thanks

Don't Forget that the Akra is made of Titanium and that's the reason why it's so expensive!!! For this Price you get great Sound AND less weight

I wonder if there is much of a sound difference between the tip styles on the race version?

Unless the tips are resonated vs non the tips won't make a sound difference.

Can you order the Eisenmann Race with the black gloss tips, and slip on (or replace I assume), with carbon later? Looks like you can, though I just wanted to check.

Also, with the Eisenmann Sport, is it true that it sounds too similar to stock? Seems like the Race is everyone's choice when it comes to the Eisenmann product offering.
