Gas tank door frozen?
I haven't driven my X5 since last week and we've had a snow storm and very low temperatures (single digits) and now I can't open the gas tank door.
I'm not sure if it's frozen shut but most of the car has defrosted already. Anyone experience something similar and can someone confirm the manual workaround as I'm almost out of gas. Thanks! |

First, make sure the car is unlocked. The fuel door locks with the car doors.
If that doesn’t work, there is an emergency release in the trunk. Check your manual. |

Pour some warm water over the door seal and see if that helps?
