Hey guys - first time Bimmer owner here. I just picked up a CPO 2015 F15 with the M Sport package. My previous car was a fully loaded Camaro 1LE with the 6.2 V8, so my xDrive35i is completely different car.

Although the car definitely has some kick to it, I miss the acceleration pull. Sport Mode really helps with that, but would it be a problem if I switched to Sport Mode all the time? Any long term issues? Would I be the only person who would do this?

Also, mod recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I feel like it currently looks a little pedestrian.

I highly doubt it's an issue. Besides, it's CPO.

Sounds like you need a RaceChip or some other engine tune.

I don’t see why it would be an issue. Might as well drive it how you want while under warranty!

Hell, you can even code it to start up in sport mode.

Would be cool to see a drag race between stock and MPPK cars. I would think a half second would need more than 20hp.

The only think I don't like about Sport mode is the rev match down shift, I wonder if that could be hard on a transmission over the long haul having it on all the time.

Once i added the JB4 harness to my CPO 35i, I was completely satisfied with the power and pull. Easy to remove too if I ever need to go to the dealer (just did it in this frigid weather a couple weeks ago).

I don't think it's a big deal, but just in case keep an eye on battery if you are going to drive in sport-mode always. Unfortunately, with BMW efficient dynamics and how it's implemented in f15 - alternator disengages during accelerations and more so in sport mode, unlike in eco-mode it charges battery every time you coast. Again, it's not an issue unless you use too much accessory equipment or tend to listen to music/radio when car engine is off or like I did one time forgot to turn dome lights off lol

This engine transmission combo is beyond solid. I'm running a JB4 on map 7 with 50/50 93/e85 blend, catless downpipe, bms intake, coded sport mode, m perf exhaust and never ever had not even a hiccup. I will be adding Pure Stage 2 and intercooler this summer.

N55 + ZF are bullet proof to around 600hp, sport mode can't hurt it.

I run sport mode all the time but my sport mode has engine in comfort mode for sport. I only wanted the DHP activated in sport mode. Didn't like the constant high revs in sport mode for every day driving.

Right, 20 HP not making up a half second 0-60 time on a 4800 lb SUV.

Stay away from a X5M or even a 50i.

I drive in sport 90% of the time.

The amount of $ tickets I got for speeding and extra fuel cost I paid for last 2 months = 1 more extra 35i I could have bought

My personal "best" is 6 MPG during WOT

I have a 2014 50i M Sport, I am forcing it to Sport Mode on startup automatically with coding. There is a dead spot in the pedal, that damn nearly caused an accident, in sport it is more manageable to drive in the city.

You can also code it to remember last mode set. I just recently did this and it's great! You won't raise any eyebrows when taking it to the dealer, since you can just put it in to Comfort mode before you drop it off and won't have to worry about it starting up in Sport mode when the dealer has it.

I'm right there with you on the dead spots and lugging in Comfort mode. It's fine most of the time but sometimes it definitely feels like there is way too much pedal travel required to get going. Eco mode is the worst, just feels like you are lugging the engine the whole time. I can't imagine it's actually too good for the engine...

I've heard cases where people are getting their N63TU replaced. Never heard that with the N55
