daytime running lights yellow
Hi guys, one of my inner angel eyes on my 2014 X5 has turned yellow.
this is on Hid adaptive headlights. I have gone in to my local auto part's store to find a replacement bulb but they can't find how to replace them or what parts to buy. has anyone replaced there's before or is it not possible ? |

There was a TSB for this on different BMW platforms (G01, G02, G07, G12, G30, G32) but I bet it's the same issue you're facing:

so found out that it requires actual modules that attach to the headlights. but if the actual ring connection is damaged or melted it will require a whole new headlight 😣here's to hoping they are plug and play and don't require coding

So if you have 2014, try and find 2014 modules.. don't try to get 2018 modules or you might have to do some modifications (cables & ISTA) I know because it happened to a friend of mine… 🤷🏽. Vehicle might not recognize the module, just stick to your year to be safe. |

Apologies, been busy like crazy. My buddy said you have to take the bumper off because if not it’s nearly impossible to get a screwdriver in there to remove the screws that hold the modules in place. 🤷🏽‍♂️
