Tire and Wheel protection
I would be interested to know what other people thought would be a reasonable price to pay for tire and wheel protection. I plan to do a 3-year lease on the 50i that I have ordered (And of course, still haven't received despite it being done and at vpc since September 24. Another thread for another time…). This new car will have 20 inch run flats. I previously had a tire and wheel protection plan on my old 2008 x5 with 20 inch run flats. My 5 year price on that was $799. It is my understanding that the prices are way higher these days. But, I also know that there is a lot of dealer markup. I was definitely the winner on the previous plan. I had several nails and various road debris that killed several tires. I know the run flats are expensive, but I actually think they saved my life on one particular incident. Therefore, I'm sticking with them. Any thoughts on what is a reasonable price to pay or to try to negotiate for a 3 year plan?

It seems you were close to cost (from what I gather) on your 2008. But the price that zazax5 is mentioning is about what I paid on my wife's 135i. We got a great deal on the car, but they would not budge on the Tire & Wheel package. Still have not taken advantage of it, so it's about that time

My CA told me the 3yr tire and wheel protection cost is now $1800. The tire and wheel protection are now being offered by BMW only , my current tire and wheel protection are not from BMW and from some other company. For my 2014 X5 lease my CA will throw in the tire and wheel protection at no extra cost.
