disconnecting the battery

Im new at modding parts for my car and I have to disconnect the battery for the car to intstall stuff and I was wondering if I disconnect the battery will my coding and mppk clear out?! thanks

It won’t, but follow the right procedure for disconnecting the batteries:
Open the door and trunk
Move the key out of the range, so it won’t wake up the vehicle
Wait till all electronics sleep ( I would say 15-20 min, you’ll see when the light on the trunk door is off)
Disconnect the batteries
Doing it that way will prevent from various errors been stored in the vehicle

Can I take the batteries out of my keys or something because my battery strength in my keys I can unlock my car from the other side of a huge parking lot!

It’s up to you, but in my case keeping the key on the other side of the house was enough

I'm pretty sure you don't need to be out of range of being able to unlock the car, you just need to be far enough away the car doesn't sense the key for things like touch-to-unlock.

Inside your house when the car is in the driveway for example should be well enough away.
