missing K-CAN3

Im trying to retrofit the reverse camera on an F15, but K-can3 seems to be missing which makes sense as i don't have any of the other options that use CAN3 bus, can the camera be wired into any of the other CAN busses ?

Have you searched for retrofitting rear view camera? Lots of threads on this.

Yes I've done a lot of searching but cant seem to tie down my issues
I have wired the camera into CAN3 direct to the BDC ( A258*6B, pin1 CAN3_L, pin2 CAN3_H )
Ran Esys and coded 3AG into the VO options, now when I select reverse the display shows the normal distance/sensor display it now has a camera menu but its greyed out and not selectable.

neither ISTA or Esys do not list the ICAM module, or any mention of a CAN3 bus.
Is there anything that needs coding to enable the CAN3 bus or should the BDC just figure this out once a CAN3 device is plugged in ?

I do now have some odd errors in ISTA as below, I don't have electric steering column adjustment, I dont think my mirrors use LIN bus and the camera module is the ICAN and connect directly into the HU so i dont have TRSVC module, was 3AG the wrong VO code for the rear camera ?

Also after you added 3AG did you code modules? Code NBT,PDC, ICAM and ICM.
Did you add the fuse to the slot 15A the 5 AMP one so it gets power?
I think you did not complete the wiring. Don't know what year your X5 is but here is wiring diagram for 2014 US version.

I now have a working reversing camera !!

Pins 1/2 for CAN3 on A258*6B (purple connector) are not in any way active on the BDC, I used the CAN3 bus meant for the headlight unit, Pins 43/44 on A258*8B ( Black connector)

Did you add CAN TERMINATOR ? However, did you connect directly to CAN3 PIN 43, 44 ?


EDIT.

Added CAN Terminator and everything works. For those who will ever come across this post, I inform you that CAN Terminator must be installed.
