seats bolt straight in but m3 seats would work better as the seat belt bolts to the seat in the m3 and x5 but in m4 it dose not so at the moment I don't have working seat belts and I paid £1200 for the m4 interior
and the passenger seat dose not work as I need to run a different live up to it

Does all the electronic functions on the M3/M4 seats work on X5, like memory, power functions? Its an interesting mods, never thought of using M3 seats on X5.

Since you have X50d, I assume you have multi-contour seats (20 ways). Do the M4 seats sit lower than the original seats?

Certainly different
They do look very skinny in terms of comfort and support compared to the standard seats. Assuming you have not noticed a difference otherwise you would not of done it?
Brave move

Did this give the passengers in the back more leg room?

I know 3 series seats (not just M3) fits x5 too. It seems that BMW has same mounting points in 99% of it's cars (except i3/i8 seats). Wire layout is different of course and will require rewiring that connection under the seat. However, majority of seat functions only require extra power wire to work. Memory and airbags - I have no idea tho

OP I would imagine you did it from looks perspective right? As i think nothing beats x5 multi-contour seats in comfort

Seems like an odd thing to do on a £70k 2017 car. Why not get the seats from the X5M if you want to change?

Probably harder to get.

Besides softer leather, aren't X5M seats the same as multi-contour seats?

I have used my x5 switch pack and loom out the x5 seat and yes they sit nice and low but if you want them higher you can just raise it on the button
also some of the buttons work backwards so when you press fwd seat goes back and vice versa
but I don't care they feel wicked
