The US has not caught on to the blackbox concept but I assured you, it will. In Seoul, we have 25 million people and once you get in an accident, blackbox is proof that you either is not at fault or partially at fault etc. It also gets discounted when you buy insurance. FYI.

hamh look at other posts for installation instructions. All blackbox is connected the same way. Run wires to fuse box and hid wires underneath side or bottom etc.

I can't say but it you are going to purchase from that site, make sure you do it quick. IROAD is no longer selling directly to any country in the coming weeks. The dealer told me that they are modeling after blackvu and not having straight sells from distributors here (too much of a discount). Good luck topaz330

I'm still deciding between Blackvue 650 and the iRoad v9, but one thing I notice is that the iRoad doesn't have GPS build in, so you'll need to get the gps accessory and have another wired dongle hanging out somewhere in your car. This might be a deal breaker for me...

nameisjae1 just sent you a PM.
hamh I was debating on that too. For 2 years of having the Blackvue, I rarely uses the GPS option. But of course, if it has it, it would be very ideal.

But isn't the gps function is the key information when an accident happens? So that you can prove the time and location with the video footage.

The price from iRoad definitely is attractive, but it seems like the blackvue has a cleaner look.

nameisjae1 Do you know what is better from the iRoad v9 comparing to blackvue 650 ?

ok, i just pulled the trigger as well on the iRoad v9, without the gps dongle.

with exchange rate, it's 220usd shipped to me in the US.

I just found out a few fact between the iRoad v9 and Blackvue 650:
iRoad rear cam is full 1080p, while blackvue is 720p
iRoad has the voltage unit build in, while blackvue requires the magic pro unit
iRoad requires a separate gps dongle, while blackvue has gps build in

Maybe nameisjae1 could find out how much extra is for the GPS.
I found this on Amazon, my guess it would work.

10 bucks for the gps would be nice, is it the same as those branded ones that cost 20 to 30 dollars? they all look generic.

Not sure. I would just get the $20, lol.
$10 more won't kill you.

delviacv2 that is a good product. The product came out in South Korea two years ago. IROAD V9 came out last year and little cheaper but better quality in my opinion.

Make sure you order a quality micro SD (at least 32G). For blackbox, most microSD cards lasts one year (due over use) and most companies does not have warranty if used in blackbox....at least here in Korea.

Take a look at the SanDisk High Endurance microSD card. It's made specifically for dash cam use.

Other than Sandisk? is there any other choices?

What size of memory would you guys recommend? Do I really need 64gb? Or 32gb is enough?

It is depending on what resolution you are planning to record and how long do you want to keep before it start writing over the old recording.
I have 32GB on my BlackVue 2ch, and it held recording for about 2 weeks. And my setting is 1080p/30fps front and 720p/30fps rear with audio (if I remember correctly).
