2017 X5 e40 - HVB cooling issues

Hi,

I have been running my X5 hybrid strong for years. All of a sudden, I am not able to charge it anymore and when I am able to charge it (more about that below), when I try to run in MAX electric mode, after a bit it gets disabled (system request).

In general, if I try to charge the car as soon as I park, it won't. It shows me a yellow color on the outlet, then it goes off.

If I wait a while (so it cools off), it will charge.

However, even if it is charged, when I drive it, it soon prevents me to go into MAX mode. I am guessing it is the same issue, the battery gets hot and the cooling system failed.

More proof on this are the codes I am getting on BimmerLink:

21F111 - Cooling valve: valve cannot be opened
21F194 - HVS: Cell temperatures - high temperature, charging aborted
21F1F5 - Throttling - Reduction of the charging current due to high cell temperature
21F195 : cell temperatures - high temperature spread detected
21F189 HVD: Battery aging: SOH low (warning threshold)

I am going to bring this in to the dealership, but they are such a rip off, I wonder if I could get an idea of what is actually broken and get a feeling of what is a fair charge for this repair.

Thank you all in advance!

One preliminary question I have: how is the HVB cooled down? Does it use the AC system or the radiator system (or both?). I ask because my AC is also not working. I probably had it repaired by the dealership (when under warranty) like 3 or 4 times. Would last me for the summer, next year at the beginning of the warm season it would need to be repaired again. Once the warranty expired, I just started refilling it myself. Now it is spitting warm air again, I will pick up a few more cans to recharge and see if that fixes the HVB issue as well.

HVB is cooled by the AC system.
