Look at DRL Tail Lamps/Lights in the cheat sheet. There are 5 codes in a blue column.

I know Opasha posted some pictures but I would like to see what they look like at night and in comparison to what they look like with headlights on. I always thought it was just a strip of light for DRL but from opasha's picture it actually looks like parkling/lowbeam lights are on.

Can anyone cross-reference the I-Step F025-14-11-505 to the ISTA/P version? After a visit to the dealership to fix the door locks, had software upgraded... Coded everything back successfully with PSdZData 2.54.2, but that I-Step just keeps boggling my mind.

Omar, Shawn, any ideas? Don't tell me that's 54.3 and I managed to update with 2.54.2 ;/

F025-14-11-505 = ISTA/P 2.54.3.

Use your current PSdZData and let me know if you get any Missing CAFD errors.

That's the thing, Shawn. I had the feeling it was 2.54.3 and the first thought was: "Daaaamn..." - but I went on with coding based on PSdZData 2.54.2 with the CAFDs you posted for that one anyway and... Got no errors, everything coded just fine in HU_NBT, BDC_BODY, KOMBI and some others. I didn't bother to turn the car off and on to see if the coded stuff would behave differently after though. Will check tomorrow morning just in case, because while the car was running everything worked fine, no errors popping/everything working normal.

That is correct. Car with 54.3 can be coded with older 54.x PSdZData so long as it has proper CAFD files, and in some cases FAFP files, added to it.

Quick question

Does ISTA/P X.55.0 have the proper CAFD files? Is it fixed or a complete change from BWM to eradicate coding.

BTW, F025-15-03-501 in that version

As far as I know, there is no 55.0, at least not yet. But when it comes, expect more CAFD files to be trimmed. It is not an accident by them, rather it is by design.

Lightning system mulfunction

I have coded emergency stop/brake lights flushing per cheat sheet on my wife's 2015 x5. When she does stop hard, I see the brake lights flash, but then there's error message that lightning system mulfunction.

Has any1 seen this? Any resolution?
Thanks

This has happened to likely everybody with the F15.

Apparently USA F15s have a different wiring harness, so coding will not be successful for this feature.

I've put mine back to factory default.

(Also, when this happens, the headlights flash as well.)

To confirm, what's the default setting?

Thanks, J . Yes, the default is: flachenvergroesserun

I just removed this old code from the cheat sheet. I never coded it for anyone's cars because I thought it was pointless and figured it wouldn't work in the US.

I think I may have found the trunk delay coding. CLM for other cars is VAM for our F15/F16 infrastructure.

So, when you press the trunk button, there will be no delay in it opening (usually it takes a few seconds to process that you pushed the button, which is pretty annoying).

Normally, the code would be BDC_BODY / VAM_TIMEOUT_HK_SMO / werte_01, but this is already set apparently as default to werte_01 which is 0 seconds. However, there is another code I found related to that that is set with a 3 second delay. That makes sense since the default code above is still giving us a delay.

The related code is BDC_BODY / VAM_TIME_DELAY_BOOTLID / werte_02 = 3 second delay. If you change that to werte_00, you will get a 5 second delay. If you change it to werte_01, you will get 0 second delay (this is what you want to change it to). If someone wants to try this, let me know or I can test it on your car remotely. Thanks.

I figured out some KEYFOB coding. I think I figured out how to enable FOLLOW ME HOME light function and AUXILIARY COOLING function with your 3rd or 4th button (based on how LONG you hold it). I will test this on my car, but if you would like to test, let me know.

I can test it, Remind me what FMH is? Is that the equivalent of hitting the high beams after the car is off so the lights stay on for 30 secs or so?

Wouldn't Auxiliary cooling be better suited to the remote app?

FMH is follow me home as you described where the headlights stay on to light your pathway for you. I found a bunch of codes related to it, but I want to start with the keyfob first. The codes are:
The one above these for the SPECIAL 4th button function is active and might relate to FOLLOWMEHOME_VIA_FBB - setting this to aktiv (if the below codes don't work)
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_3RD_BUTTON_SHORT
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_3RD_BUTTON_MID
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_3RD_BUTTON_LONG
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_SHORT
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_MID
RC_DEFAULT_IDG_4TH_BUTTON_LONG

functions of what each number setting does:
werte_00 = no action
werte_01 = reserved
werte_02 = opening lid (trunk)
werte_03 = panic alarm
werte_04 = follow me home (lights)
werte_05 = opening lid (rearscreen/front lid)
werte_06 = reserved
werte_07 = auxiliary cooling (stand cooling)

OK So I tried it out. I'm not sure if you were referring to the Trunk button on the door or the one on the FOB. My door button delay did not change (which is no delay) with VAM_TIMEDELAY_BOOTLID settings. However, the FOB trunk button is annoying in that you can't just tap the button, you have to hold it for like a half second. Well that is controlled by RC_TIMEDELAY_BOOTLID. Change that to "wert_00" to avoid needing to hold down the trunk button to initiate the opening. That was worth the exercise alone!

As for the FMH feature, I tried to activate it on the 4th button short press using the settings you posted but I could not get it to work. Yes, I also set the FMH via FBB to aktiv so maybe there another setting somewhere to get it to work. :

Thanks for testing, bud. Yeah, I had a gut feeling the Remote Control setting for the bootlid might have been the important one but wasn't sure about it. Thanks for confirming that . We'll just have to keep digging/looking for more stuff .
