Yep, more people started buying from them (I assume - pretty obvious), so they took advantage of that and upped the price. What can ya do?

Regardless, don't look for it on US seller websites. The part is from Germany. Look for it on Euro websites. You will definitely find it for cheaper. Try these guys or search for some place similar: https://partsale.eu/cn/spare-parts/v...63265-77090807. It might end up costing the same at that point due to shipping, though.

I'm not sure if it is standard, but it is definitely 100% a US option. Barbja has it in hers.

I think 10" display is also standard in X5 ...BUT there are always exceptions like Peru and other countries...So, standard isn't always standard

Ordered a new X5 xDrive35i with the MSport package and lots of bells and whistles, I wish they had an option for the Digital instrument cluster. It is something I would really love to have. The was a great write up BTW, does anyone know if doing this will void any portion of the warranty?

Thank you. No, it does not void warranty. It's an OEM part. However, in the US, you must put your 6WA back in before taking in for service that requires ISTA/P programming for software updates and diagnosis by your dealer because ISTA/P will not read your car with 6WB installed.

Does anyone know where to source the black plastic clip that joins the 2 wire harnesses into 1 large plug? Or a part number?
Figuring it doesn't come with 6WB when not ordered from Bimmertech.

HOWEVER, if you have a 6WA extended cluster (the one that comes with HUD), then you don't need this part because the 6WA extended cluster already has this plastic piece built in so there is no removal necessary of the extra black plastic pieces. Only those with the Basic Cluster (no HUD in their F15) need to buy this piece.

I have a question and it is possible that someone has already asked and got an answer. I still can't understand why 6WB is standard in Canada F15s but not available even as an option in U.S. F15s. Has anyone reached out to BMW either directly or through a dealer CA to ask why?

I am about to order an X5 in the U.S. once I complete my relocation from Canada. And I will be asking BMW nicely to give me the option of adding the 6WB option to my F15 35i M sport build. We will see how this goes. Should be interesting.

Why? BMW AG obviously has their reasons, but they offer no explanation for "market differences".

6WB is not new. Both 6WA and 6WB have been offered in Europe and Canada as standalone option codes in F10 for 3 years. But for U.S. F10, 6WB is still not available at all, and you can get 6WA only if you also order 610 HUD. In no other market is it like this.

I cant believe the shit BMW is doing. They finally offer the retrofit kit and make it available only to cars that allready can have it when oredered. WTF???
