Whats your lease payment?
Would any of our newest owners care to share what sort of lease deals they have received on the new X5? I know there is a thread on best prices received.

I have a lease question too. I've owned several BMWs but have never leases one. Will BMW let you prepay your lease? And, will they give you some kind of break for getting all their money upfront similar to other car companies?

This is a GREAT question. I want to know the answer as well. My next door neighbor just did it with Lexus on a loaded GS. He paid $25K upfront, owes absolutely nothing for 3 years, and can turn the car back in like a lease. |

I just got an Internet quote from a local dealer for $700 off MSRP and MF of .00165 on 36 month, 12k miles lease. 60% residual. Told him no way that is going to work.
Asked for invoice+1000 and MF of .00125. Will see how he responds. |

$25k for 36 month is roughly $700 per month and we don't even know the mileage restriction. Paying $25k upfront is pretty silly IMO just to rent a car that pays you nothing. BMW has MSF system where you can bank in multiple security deposits during lease terms to lower the MF. By doing this, you will earn more money than parking your money in the CD. |

That MF of 0.00165 is a total joke.

BMW has traditionally had the best lease rates and residuals among all the luxury car manufacturers.
Current MF for a 36 month/10K miles annual lease is .00125 (3%) with a residual of 61%. This is a SSD program (non-tiered) with a minimum credit score of 675. There are tiered rates available as well for non SSD programs depending on the vehicle, but generally the SSD rates are very competitive. You are able to reduce the MF down to .00076 (1.8%) with a maximum of 7 MSD's (multiple security deposits). Each MSD is the equivalent of one monthly payment (after cap cost red, tax, etc.), rounded up to the nearest $50. This deposit is returned to you at lease end to apply to a new lease, buy the lease out, etc. BMW also has single payment leases if that's your choice. for a 80,000$ MSRp car with 7MSD you can get easily 920$/month including 9% state tax for 10k miles . I think BMW having trouble selling new X5s, its available all over with deep discount, with not even one car delivered to a delaer.

Would you mind to explain how these MSD option work? I just leased my 4th X5 in the last 8 years and never heard of this option. I got an MF of .00125 and 60% residual for 36 months and 12k miles.
