I will be dropping my car off on Friday so they can continue investigating and hopefully fix this issue. I'll post once I know more. I'm also curious if Windy City's problem has really been fixed, I would like to suggest the solution to my dealer if it really addressed the vibrations.

No update yet
Unfortunately no update. The car is still at the shop and so far the issue is still unresolved. BMW Canada has been engaged by the dealer but no news yet. They will likely need to keep the car for another week. I'll definitely post an update as soon as I have one.
Is anyone else getting this issue looked at?

Same exact thing here, just got mine a week ago. It's at the dealer now. Did a ride along with a tech and he noticed it from passenger side w/o touching the steering wheel.
Mine is April 2014 production. What production month are you guys? Wonder if it's tied to that. |

Have they tried what Windy City believes to have fixed it?
I just got mine back and still the same issue. They did a road force that says it was 17lbs over however it didn't address the issue. The shop foreman will be getting BMW engineering involved as well and says he will give me a call on Friday. I got my car back for now as I don't want to be in a rental. Depending on what I hear on Friday, I may just ask them to try what Windy City said probably fixed since he hasn't posted since. |

I PMd Windy City out of desperation and his response was not encouraging.
The Service Manager at my dealer suspects that it could be a tire defect and he is following up on this. |

Funny you say that.. the shop foreman just called me asking what kind of tires I had after speaking with a bmw engineer. Said he would be calling me back. Sounds like we are getting the same information.
Do you have perelli run flats? M Sport package? |

I'm also on 20" Pirelli RFs.
Part of me hopes that this really is the issue as it would be relatively easy to resolve. I will be firing off an email to the service manager to see if there is an update. Hmmmm...now I'm trying to remember if I had this issue with my 18" Pirelli scorpion winter wheels - non run flats. When I picked the vehicle from the dealer back in November I had them put on the winter wheels right away and had my summer wheels just put on at the end of March. Just got a call from my SA that they swapped the wheels on my car (not sure to what) and the vibrations went away! Sounds encouraging but I haven't driven it myself yet so can't personally confirm. They are going to try and re-balance my wheels to see if they can be fixed.

I believe the SA said they swapped the wheels to try and isolate the problem but issue appears to be with the tires which they hope they can fix by re-balancing my wheels.

Shop foreman called and said that a technical service engineer (from bmw I think) wants to drive the car on Monday. He says it's a strong possibility that it's a tire issue.
Ramsal - when will you be getting your car back? |
