Looks like they still need two more. They have our 3.

To the OP, is this a reliable company? Sorry if this is a dumb question. In Canada, we do not have the laws that you have in the US that protect somewhat from claims by the dealer that a modification is the sole source of all problems. Just trying to do my homework on the part before jumping in on the order.

Yes, couple bmw enthusiasts and known them for a while. Purchased bunch of products as well. Using a credit card always protects you from fraud or anything of that nature.

Oh sorry, wasn't worried about that. I meant in terms of issues with the vehicle post-insertion. Any dealer issues?

Also curious as to whether there is any possible way for the dealer to know that you have had this in place with your vehicle? Are operating parameters recorded by the vehicle in any way and then discoverable by the dealer when they hook them up to their systems?

Thank you.

You simply unplug it before your dealer visit. My wife's diesel had the tune and I always unplugged it before taking it in. Never came up in their computer.
It takes few minutes, but the hp/tq gains is sure worth it.

It looks like I will have to pick up the extra slack because I want the units shipped.
I think couple guys that were part of the group buy vanished and we are still one short.
Let me know if anyone is interested and if not I will order a second to finalize the group buy.

These chips were tested by a german tuning magazine and came out as best buy. But what was strange is the measured gain in HP and torque, which is roughly half of what is announced by the manufacturer...

Then again, that was the case as well with all the other chips that were tested

Do let us know how it works out once you have it installed, especially on a diesel engine

If I can finalize negotiations on a trade for an X5 diesel by Friday, I will order one. Not sure if that suits your timeline or not. Dealer and I are a little apart on price and while I have a scheduled production spot for June, we have to see if we can agree on the trade price.

I just ordered one. I didn't see anywhere where it showed how many in the group had already purchased. Are you able to verify we are good to go now?

Thanks for setting up the group buy! I pick up my X5 on the 21st in Spartanburg.

We are good to go. They were shipped to DTM today and DTM will distribute them out by Friday.

HP gains tested were to the wheels and every manufacturer claims crank hp gains. That is where the difference comes from.

PM me for any other interest as they have to close the group buy due to pricing being almost at cost.

Are you doing a PCD? We wanted to do it so bad as we did the ED for my M5, but I started a new job and couldnt take time off.

Yeah we are. My first time opting for pcd. I bet the euro delivery was awesome! I did the M school there once with a friend and had a blast... impressive place. The tour has to be rescheduled though due to upgrades at the facility. Hope to do that in a month or so. Let me know if you do any other group buys. Congrats on the new job!

Thanks again!

I will never buy another car any other way, but Euro Delivery. The trip, the people and the places we visited were just amazing. Unfortunately, we could not do ED for the X5, but I heard PCD is pretty amazing and we could pick up the car and travel across the country to California. With the new job it wasn't possible so hopefully the wife is open to doing another ED for a 2016 M5.

Guys, DTMHAUS has to change the pricing back to manufacturer's required selling price.
If someone still wants the group buy pricing please pm me and I will get you a discount code.

What other parts are you guys looking for? I can ask them if another group buy would be possible.

Update for everyone: They should be receiving the tunes today or tomorrow at DTMHAUS from RACECHIPS and they will ship everything out to each individual and provide you with tracking numbers.

Does anybody know what the difference is between the three types of chips racechip.com are selling ? Besides a few hp and Nm ?
What justifies the huge price difference ?

I believe the HP, software and Ultimate comes with a way to modify the settings as well.

I just got my tracking number, but the car is not here yet.
Others should provide feedback soon. I know it takes few driving cycles until the computer gets used to the new tune addition and from there the increase in power should be felt by the butt dyno.
