Re UK delivery.... Mine was k lines - my dealer could tell when it arrived in the EU (Zeebrugge in my case) so guess which ship you're on and call your dealer when you think it's arrived in an EU port.

Thanks for the info, do you know if it stayed on the same ship to Bremerhaven then on to Southampton?

I don't know which is worse, being able to track this and checking too frequently or not knowing and just getting a call from the dealer to say it is ready and waiting. |

Worst thing is that I've produced a spreadsheet that calculates the time the next VIN in a series should be complete based on previous numbers / times - pulling my hair out when there's a slight delay and nothing happens for 15 mins or so! I guess the website might not update in real-time. I just hope they don't have a breakdown or maintenance period, I think my head will explode It'll be great for us to finally check our specs 'as-built' hope nobody has anything missing!

The updating on the BMWArchiv site doesn't seem that great. Still only 3 40D's built today from what I can see. |

.....I'm not being serious. I think there may be a shut down but I have no reason to think it's soon. I saw an article where they referenced delaying a shut down a few years ago and having a four week shut down the following year to make some changes to the production line. It's probably done when they are about to change model year?

That's not funny @MJF120, I've got enough to do at the moment without worrying about BMW plant holidays ! Last edited by NPickles; 06-12-2014 at 09:50 AM.. |

Does anyone know if the 'real-time' updates from BMW are actually up to date? I can't see how my X5 can be in the paint shop today (according to BMW) though BMWarchive will almost certainly show it as build complete today? My car is due for delivery in six weeks (WK30) so I guess it must be built soon if that deadline is to be met. I'm assuming that the BMW status info is out of date by a few days. Thoughts anyone?

After reading through this thread, I really can't wait to see each one of your X5s when they arrive . Hopefully it's much sooner than later. Those are always the best surprises when you get that email saying something's been delivered when it's due much later . Good luck to everyone - I know how much the waiting game sucks.
