Right now, I'm considering satin blue, satin red, and satin lime green (shinier version of Porsche 918 spyder brakes since they flow well with grey colors).

Any feedback regarding this is also appreciated .
If it were me, I would go with green (my favorite!) with MW. I think that I'd do blue or red (leaning to blue) with Satin Grey. I still think that they're stand-outs without taking focus away from the cool different body-color. But with standard MW, go for green and say "look at my awesome brakes!"

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the advice, Alan. That's very helpful!

Haha, thank you Barb. I'm leaning towards green and blue. I also want a color that still looks good with the Mineral White in case I ever have to remove the wrap for whatever reason. I'm just a HUGE fan of the 918 spyder and the brakes always stand out every time...even though they delineate that the color represents the package (Eco Friendly for green) in Porsche.

Just an update. My buddy got a sample in for the Alubeam Matte Chrome. He's ordering the full Satin/Matte Chrome color booklet for me to see different shades. I'll take better pictures of the colors in person with my G16. However, here's a pic he sent me from his phone:

Just curious before I make my final decision. The satin color book comes tomorrow that my friend ordered for me to see all the satin colors. I'm still deciding between the two I mentioned. What do you guys think of this Satin Blue in a more royal blue color? http://carbonfibrevinylwrap.net.au/m...lic-vinyl-wrap

IMO, the silver colors looked a bit nicer, but it is such an individual thing the most important decision is the one you make

I took my car in for XPel today, and place that is doing it also does wraps. I found a nice video (well, mostly a composition of photographs) of a wrap they installed on a Porsche.

I agree. That Porsche looks phenomenal - very subtle and aggressive. That's what I'm going for. I think the blue is a bit much, but wanted to just get more opinions just in case . I also saw this really nice Porsche Cayman in a Charcoal Matte Grey Metallic: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...5970857&type=3

The strange thing is, the color looks SO much darker on this M5: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...5970857&type=3

Wow. Those Porsche images are breathtaking.

Odd that it looks darker on the M5 - perhaps that's just the lighting/photographer at play.

Looks fantastic!

I think you're right. The color really does look nice. That's why I wanted to see every satin color in the book to compare. After looking at these images, I'm definitely wrapping the black plastic trim because it will give the X5 a more premium look.

Agree. It would not do the look justice not to wrap the black plastic.

What's your ETA for the wrapping?

I keep biting my lip with the rap vs wrap jokes. I inherited my mothers terrible sense of humoUr. Must resist....!

I don't mind the jokes. I have a good sense of humor. Well, my friend is currently wrapping up two paint projects ahead of me. My steering wheel should be here within 1 week or so. I can't say for sure, but I'm guessing it should start within 2 weeks. I'm going to contact him tonight for the ETA to see where he is at with his other projects. I wanted to start it ASAP so we could have it done before the steering wheel, but patience is a virtue. I don't want him to skip his other promises just to accommodate me, but he is very excited about my car project.

Just a big favor/request from everyone... if you could take a few seconds to vote in my poll at the top between the two colors shown on page 2, I would really appreciate it. I actually value the feedback from everyone in the forums. As of right now, I'm still split between the two. I'll know much better when seeing the booklet in person. I will also post those images in this thread for you all to see what different shades are available. Thank you!

Just an update. My buddy got the Satin Booklet. I'll be picking it up tomorrow afternoon and taking pictures of the colors I like. I'll post those colors in this thread. Any advice/suggestions are much appreciated! This project should be starting hopefully within 2 weeks!

Voted as requested: Alum matte chrome

But, both are great colors and your original mineral white is already a gorgeous paint option!

So, here's the Alubeam Chrome Matte in person with Satin Royal Blue (I've narrowed it down to these two). The shade of blue is actually 1-2 shades darker in person closer to this Aston Martin wrap, but the camera kept making my samples brighter. They both look way better in person. Between the two, the Alubeam is definitely shinier with a more visible metallic effect:

A new contender enters, that blue looks very nice, although it looks too blue for my taste in the swatch, when applied it looks duller & more like frozen if it really looks like that when finished. I'd say consider that as well as the silver but I am now leaning towards blue (I am biased, mind you, still pissed at BMW for not offering Deep Sea Blue).

Yeah, the more I look at the blue, the more interesting it looks. Still undecided.

Yeah, it's a tough decision. I just messaged the vendor to see if they can provide me with pictures of those two colors on actual vehicles. Both colors are unique.
