Anyone took delivery for their X6?

Ya, I had rails on my 2 previous X5s; my first on came with them and I ordered them as an option on the second. But I think they just look plain silly on the X6.

I wish I would have been able to see the cognac/black nappa before I ordered. It looks so orange in all the photos I've seen. I ordered the ivory/black instead. I hope it looks less skunkish in real life.

What's your exterior color?

I saw the cognac/black in person during a 2015 sneak peep show last month. It looks much richer and better in person than the photos online. With the full leather dash and cognac stitches is to die for. I was afraid to order the c/b too but white/black won't cut it for my use and black is too boring. I have an oyster interior currently and the up keep is high.

We took a punt with our interior going for red and metallic black outside. We've only seen the red leather in other BMWs so until it arrives mid Jan we won't know what it will be like for real. All our last 4 cars have been metallic black with either black or ivory leather so whilst the exterior couldn't change we have with the leather. Leather dash would have been nice, but we'd already added enough options. The upper part of the dash is very cheap looking on my X5 E70 and this was also the case for my previous M-B, It is as they are almost saying to you it is too cheap for this type of car spend more money and get the leather!

My exterior is mineral white. When the corporate dudes blew through town with an X6 I was able to hang out with it for a while. It was space grey with ivory dakota interior. That interior was so beautiful. I'm getting comfort seats so my choices were limited. My dealer has swatches, but the cognac swatch was missing. Bummer. My original choice was terra, but in the end I went with the ivory/black nappa. I wish that the lower dash was black instead if ivory, but I'll take the lower dash being ivory over ivory carpets any day.

I hope that I'll be ok with the ivory. My last two were oyster. I had the last one for 3y and it stayed looking good. The only place I had a problem was the leading edge of the drivers seat from entry/exit. I'd have that problem with any leather though. I didn't do any upkeep to it beyond wiping the smudges off the back seats when I washed the car which was not very often.

I had originally ordered a standalone leather dash, but ended up choosing one of the nappas because I found the contrast stitching on the dash mesmerizing. Since the dash is the one of the three things you see all the time when driving the car (instrument cluster, iDrive and dash), I bit the bullet and went with one of the less than ideal design packages.

Mine was complete on 11/12 and it just was put on the truck yesterday. I guess someone was driving it really really really slow to the truck. (They say it was stuck in quality control all that time.)

So if you call 1-800 number do they still say it was released to the carrier or is it another status?

My X6 arrived at the dealership earlier this week but they are having problem with the radio?!? So they are waiting for a solution before releasing the vehicle to me. Weird, isn't it?

On the 3rd it said 'released to the carrier'. I called just now and it says 'being transferred to the port of exit'.

I talked to my CA earlier this morning though and he said its supposed to be there today. Yay! (about another matter, not "where's my car?!!!".

I think it would be cool if we could track them with gps, kinda like find my iPhone. Or dones...that's it.
