2015 BMW X5 XDrive35d - Nameplate photo (GVWR, GCWR, Axle weights)
Hi,
Can someone out there with a 35d take a photo (or just write in a post) the GVWR, unladen weight, and the max allowable axle loads front and rear. This should be on the nameplate on the drivers side door opening. I'm looking at an X5 for towing and want to confirm the numbers. If the GCWR is there I'll take that also. A few observations so far on the numbers:- The rear seat option (w rear air suspension) gives you a higher max rear axle load (according to the online BMW manual - extract below) so please state if you have the air suspension or not. I'm curious to see if the nameplate reflects this. From various forum entries the US max trailer load is 6000lbs with a max tongue of 600lbs, in Europe the max trailer load is 7700 lbs, max tongue 600lbs. Anyone know why the difference since (I assume) these vehicles are all made in the US? Thanks. Online Owners Manual Extract - X5 xDrive35d (lbs/kg) Approved gross vehicle weight - 6,400/2,903 With the third row of seats - 6,600/2,994 Load - 1,110/503 With the third row of seats - 1,350/612 Approved front axle load - 2,940/1,334 With the third row of seats - 2,910/1,320 Approved rear axle load - 3,600/1,633 With the third row of seats - 3,850/1,746 Note - Manual does not discuss towing at all so no GCWR.
