X5 xDrive35d
Mineral White
Terra Dakota leather
Fineline Oak Trim
Cold Weather Package
Driver Assistance Plus
Driver Assistance Package
ACC Stop & Go + Active Driving Assistant
Luxury Line
Premium Package
Dynamic Damper Control + rear axle air
Multi-contour seats
Space-saver spare
Cargo area liner - dealer supplied
Rubber matts - dealer supplied
TOTAL MSRP = $70,650

TOTAL after negotiation = $67050, or a discount of $3600

I am not sure what invoice is, but this seemed to be in line with the discount off of MSRP that others are quoting here. Let me know if you think I got a fair price.

Pickup will be at the factory probably after new year
Invoice is $64,945 before MACO (~$400) and Training (~$200).

I've seen NJ owners paying invoice.

MACO/Training is lower in NJ. $300 + $180.

$380/$180 over here. That's why I said "about" because I figured it might be a bit different.

Yes I did noticed that : ) I figured you didn't know the exact fees for NJ just like I didn't know the fees for SoCal.

It's an advertisement fee BMW charges all participating dealers.

Just placed an order for an M-Sport at $500 over invoice which included a $435 advertising/training fee, and then took off $1000 for my USAA voucher.

Was that M-Sport a diesel? A couple of dealers here in the Bay Area have told me that the allocations for diesel cars are a bit tight. It appears that $2K over invoice (including MACO and Training) is what they want and $1K over is not something they are ready to do. I've heard/read that $1K over or even lower is possible in the Los Angeles area. Is anyone from So. Cal. and did you pay less than $1K over invoice? Anyone from the Bay Area? I believe different X5s get different discounts. I'm interested in the 35Diesel only.

If you found invoice pricing in LA would you drive/fly down here to purchase? My dealer didn't care which X5 I ordered.

Did you get invoice price on yours? The Edmunds invoice or some other one? I don't know which one is the most accurate invoice since some include MACO and training and others do not. I don't know who lists the MACO and training on the invoice because it is listed below everything else and together with the destination fee. It looks legit to me and apparently added by BMW but who knows. One dealer when I ordered my 550i quoted me invoice where MACO and training was included and then added the two again . . . so . . . $600 over was the real price.

To answer your question: Yes, for invoice I would get it from L.A. I'll be ready to order the first week in January and I'm still hopeful that some BMW incentive will show up for the X5 after the holidays. If not, invoice will be fine. My first step will be to contact Greg Poland because of his sterling reputation on bimmerfest. Is he still giving great prices to forum members?

If you want to share with me the information on where I can get it for invoice please send me a PM.

XDrive35i gas engine. My dealer is near Atlanta, so may not be relevant to California.

Hi 1HOT BMR,

I contacted Greg when I ordered my 2015 X5 xDrive35i in 09/2014. However, he gave me $0 discount even I mentioned the bimmerpost forum. Eventually, I bought my car $6000 off MSRP(~$65,500) from another LA dealer. I think it is better to shop around and get more dealers' quota.

I'd be interested in knowing who gave you the $6K off. If you don't mind sharing, please send me a PM with details so I can contact him/her for a comparable deal. BTW, I've heard from other sources that Greg is no longer the big discounter he once was so at this moment his reputation is overrated - I will not bother to contact him this time around.

I talked to another internet sales guy at Pacific BMW and he tried to sell it over MSRP. LOL!! I ended up with ordering anything I wanted at 10% off (incl $1K UDE) from a dealer nearby.

+1 that's how to do it. shop around, the dealers are very competitive to beat each other here in socal. with some work you can eventually get close to what you want. somebody out there is willing to deal, just got to find them at the right time.

I bought mine finally at south bay BMW. The $6000 discount includes $1000 UDE coupon and $1000 recent graduate coupon (must finance through BMW).

Planning to spend more time here once i get my x5.

I am shopping around in the bay area for an x35i and most are quoting 2k above invoice. I see posts sharing invoice prices and wondering why its so high here.
I see some posts about SoCal prices. can someone PM me a good dealer/ name i can check with in So Cal ?

So I ended up getting another $500 off on top of the $1000 USAA credit for financing through BMWFS. Not sure if it was a mistake, but I'll take it.

Hey guys. I paid $1750 over invoice from a dealer in NorCal, but have heard others got better deals than myself from the same dealership. 2015 x5 50i scheduled for week 1 production of 2015.
