Does the e feel significantly different than the gas engine?
Yes, completely. It's odd at first, I had to get used to it. Wonderful to drive a thing this size with zero RPMs. Quite fast to get going, but flooring it will leave you a bit disappointed.

Hey everyone, just read through all 218 pages of this thread and have decided on pulling the trigger and trading in my 14 640i GC. The dealer here has a 2014 alpine white x5d msport with ivory interior and 3rd row seating.

My question to the x5 fam is what are the differences between the 2014 and 2015 x5d. A friend just took possession of his 15 today and it had the blue interior lighting. Absolutely loved it. Not sure the 14 has that option.

Btw love this forum. No hositilty and everyone is so helpful. Thanks in advance.

Kudos for going through all the pages! I have a 2014 model and have the lighting options as well. You can also select orange or white as well in the iDrive settings.

Thanks for the info. I've been told it has the premium essentials package as opposed to the premium enhance. Guess I'm losing out on a few options but I don't think they're make or break worthy. Hoping I can get a deal closed tomorrow. I've got them down to 56900 CDN.

Would anyone like to give their opinion on the ivory interior?
