Welcome! On my 50i i had similar issue. Took it to the dealer and turned out to lower oil pan seal was bad and was dripping oil. You wont see anything on the floor since there is a cover that have some type of oil catch. I would check there first. They replace the pan with new seal and new screws never had a issue again.

The place you start is crankcase vent unit., if this has not already been done. If it is partly plugged or has too much deposit buildup then it fails to condense oil from escaping vapors and oil consumption can be high. Search "N57 crankcase breather". There is a cover with diaphragm that fails but the unit can be cleaned and change the diaphragm or replaced to get a properly functioning unit with new diaphragm already fitted.

1qt consumed in 1400mi, 72K mi. on engine. Not excessive, seen worse especially on T4 engines (Audi, etc). 1L in 175 mi is excessive and if it is being combusted (as opposed to leaking), surely it could lead to other problems/fouling.
