Engine compartment rattle is normal according to BMW
2019 X6 35i. This is infuriating, and embarrassing for BMW. I find that the notion that a $70K BMW could be heard rattling down the road is normal to be quite insane.
For months I had been chasing a rattle that I could clearly hear with the windows down, and I recently had an opportunity to leave it at the dealership for a few days. The shop foreman rode with me and verified the noise. After they checked it out, this is what the service advisor gave me. The bulletin accurately describes my experience.
