The rears look a bit more tucked than the summer 315-wide tires on 469M wheels, but not dramatically so, overall a good look and a square setup is always better for snow traction. Link for the wheels: https://www.replika.ca/productinfo.a...gloss+gunmetal |

469 Ms
Finally bought a set of 469 Ms from a forum member, I was looking for an MSport with those but could not found one within my budget.
I love how they enhance the X5's sport character and these ones i found are virtually flawless!

Seen a few I like but going to wait till I need to replace the tires in all 4 corners. Just had a unplanned expense so have to watch the budget....which sucks

Excited to say I just took delivery of my first BMW after a long line of Audis. I've always been intrigued with the notion of converting to the dark side, and I have to say I couldn't be more thrilled. My loyalty to the Audi brand will never wane, but at this time I'm passing my 15 SQ5 down to my wife to "upgrade". Difficult to compare the two, but there will always be a time and a place for each.
Decided to go down the CPO path, and found this 2016 X5 50i M Sport with 35k miles from South Shore BMW in Rockland, MA. The Mocha Interior Design Package is absolutely stunning in person. I honestly never saw myself with a non-black interior but this has won me over. Here she is in all her glory! |

How did you like the SQ5? I was actually considering one of those before I bought my X5.

The SQ5 performance and handling is just a different experience relative to what I've seen with the 50i so far. Can't deny the beefy V8 and throaty exhaust of the 50i, but I personally prefer a supercharger with zero lag to a turbo any day of the week. The suspension is a lot more rigid and responsive than the X5, and the weight differential helps with zipping around the corners. Utilizing sports mode with paddle shifters on a windy long road is just exhilarating in the SQ5. In summary, the SQ5 can handle like a sportscar where the X5 is more of a truck. That being said, I mentioned there is always a time and a place for the two vehicles. I opted for the X5 to get more room for my growing family (a rear facing car seat behind the drivers seat in the SQ5 is impossible if you are over 6'2). I also prefer the interior and technology of the X5 in 9/10 categories (I was a little disappointed there wasn't a carbon fiber option). I give the 50i M Sport the edge in curb appeal; even with Black Optics and 21s, the X5 just had a more aggressive stance. Personally I am in love with both SUVs and feel that my "stable" is now complete. I look forward to getting acquainted with all of you! |

I also went with the X5 for the interior space. My wife and I have a 100lb pup and it was impossible for us to fit him, his crate, toys and food, as well as our luggage if we were going to the trailer or to family overnight, in to the X4. Also, when we decide to start having little ones, we will need that extra space. That being said, I am still considering a Q5 for her, (she doesn't want a BMW 🙄 )if and when the rug rats come. She has a heavy foot as it is, I don't need her getting tickets with the SQ5 lol.
