Post Share your 2018 X5 Orders and their status (The Last of the F15)

What's up Bimmerpost! Im sure everyone knows MY18 is the last production year for the F15. So I would like to share my build and hope everyone else ordering MY18 X5 would also.

I'm currently coming to the end of my MY14 M235i lease and I couldn't wait for BMW to start taking orders for MY18 X5. This time around I would like to purchase my vehicle not lease so I'm kind of going all out on the build. I visited my friends Dennis and Roman over at Exotic Motor World in Statin Island a few weeks back to go over my MY18 X5 build, and this is what we came up with.

Model - 2018 X5 xdrive35i
Color - Black Sapphire Metallic
Interior - Black Dakota Leather
Trim - Fineline Oak Wood

Driving Assistance Pkg
Driving Assistance Plus Pkg
ACC Stop + Go
Executive Pkg
Luxury Pkg
M-sport Pkg
-High Gloss Roof Rails
-19" M Wheels 467M
3rd Row Seating
Leather Dashboard
Rear Manual Shade
Bang & Olufsen Sound System
Black Kidney Grills

Total Msrp $81,898

Can't wait to share my status with everyone, and enjoy everyone else's as well.

Are there any extras thrown into the FY18 rather than the FY17 model at no extra costs?
Also are there any design changes?

20" with RFT are fine for me in the NYC area.. All of my X5 friends are riding on 22" wheels in the NYC area as well with no issues.

You have a point there. But I think I rather the 19" with all season tires.

Been very happy with 19s. 21" and larger have too few good tire choices all of which are much more expensive with not much going for them than the perceived aesthetic.

Yea when I was making my choice for wheels I was looking for comfort, and the fact that I don't have to change tires from season to season.

I think there is ISOFIX front passanger seat first time around (I would like to have that). I know this car so well by now...also the idrive menues are now active vs 2017 that has idrive 5.0 but non active windows (i actually like 2017 design better). Also MFD (6WB) first time factory option for US, I do wonder wheter the resolution is better than 2017 (could be as the 3,4 and 4GC have same 6WB design but at slightly higher resolution). Having said all of that changes to the idrive could be "massive" compared to 5.0 from 2017. Also if you like kneepads from the X6 or X5M you can choose leather to be able to add those after the car arrives. I personally really like those kneepads.

Really idrive 6.0 would be great in the MY18 X5. I can't wait for Bmwusa.com to update there build your own section so we could officially see everything they have to offer.

How much discount you are getting? Did you order already or waiting for allocations?

Did you decide between X40e?
